“My daughter is a junior in high school and has been working with Adele since she was in fifth grade. Through the years, Adele has not only provided excellent academic support, but also keen insight into and respect for our daughter’s individual personality and learning style. As our daughter has matured, Adele has continued to be a steady source of support and friendship for her. We are tremendously grateful for Adele’s holistic approach and sincere dedication to our daughter.”

“Our family is grateful to have Adele Maze on our team to tutor our grandson. From the moment we described his challenges and needs to her, she gave us words and insights that enabled us to better understand and respond to his situation. She made us feel immediately more confident and hopeful that, together we could guide him towards a stronger, more joyful future. She continues to provide this kind of firm and positive direction, keeping us calm and on track as well as optimistic. Some of our grandson’s needs seem fairly routine, while others require longer-term, more complicated strategies. This is where Adele Maze shines. We trust and appreciate her experience and wisdom. Above all, we value the way she focuses her time and attention on each child’s strengths and gifts, giving our student the best of what she has to offer, which is so much. I don’t know what we would have done this year without Adele Maze on our side! My grandson says that working with Adele feels like fun-even though he knows he is working hard.”

“Sabrina, now a senior in the Tamiscal Pathways Program, has been tutored by Adele since the 4th grade. Originally, Adele was tasked with improving her reading comprehension and writing skills. In the end, she accomplished that and so much more. Moreover, Adele did so in spite of Sabrina’s almost daily struggle with epilepsy seizures and cognitive side effects of anticonvulsants. Adele is both educational therapist and non-parent confidante, the latter of which has been vital in vetting, sometimes resolving, matters that ‘Mom and/or Dad just don’t get’. With a parent’s sensitivity (being a mother of two), Adele provides a nurturing yet structured environment for learning curriculum and for self-development as both a student and a person. Her educational therapy is pragmatic and effective: each year, she assesses learning strengths and challenges as well as successes and difficulties, structures a realistic study action plan, including milestones and goals, and empowers the student to learn, to have confidence, to self-advocate, to be accountable. Looking beyond high school, I expect that Sabrina will continue her friendship with Adele but no longer require tutoring. Sabrina will have become self-reliant, which in my opinion, is every educational therapist’s ultimate goal for their students and ultimate compliment.”

“Having the right tutor is an important piece in the success of your child. We can’t say enough good things about Adele Maze. Our son is dyslexic and has been working with Adele for the past five years. She began tutoring him in 5th grade. She helped him succeed through middle school and played a significant role in his acceptance into the high school of his choice. She has helped him stay engaged and focused. She has helped him fine tune his skills and boost his confidence. Adele is encouraging, patient and knowledgeable. She has taken a personal interest in the academic success of our son.”
